Meet Hoagie & Katie
HOAGIE is a fluffy little hamster with a big personality. He has been living in domestic luxury for his entire life until his owners travel to Costa Rica to participate in a wildlife rescue operation. He soon gets lost while playing outside in his hamster ball and is forced to adapt to his new surroundings, which he takes in stride. On his adventure, he meets his first animal friends and foes, and also learns that there is more to himself than just tough talk…he learns empathy, kindness, and true courage.

KATIE is a serene, young capybara living in Costa Rica with her large family. She is very mild mannered and kind, yet possesses intense bravery while maintaining a cool head when conflict arises.

About the books
The Hoagie & Katie series is a group of picture/chapter books that is appropriate for a wide range of children (4-9).
